Tax Deductibility: The WCF receives no public funds or tax revenue.  It operates under the aegis of the Town of Wayland, MA which is a government entity under Section 170(c)1 of the Internal Revenue Code.  Under Treasury Regulation Section 1.53.4945-5(a)(4)(ii), individuals and private foundations may make a grant to a government entity under Section 170(c)(1)in the same manner as to a Section 501(c)(3) public entity.
